Peter Allen Stone

Peter Allen Stone is an actor, director, writer, and teacher. He began his career in Los Angeles and has worked extensively in New York City in film, television, and theater, performing off-Broadway and regionally. At The Acting Muscle, he has co-designed and led workshops for students from Helsinki’s Kallio School of the Performing Arts.

Peter is currently Assistant Professor of Theatre at the University of Kentucky and was formerly Chair of Acting for Film at the New York Film Academy (NYFA) in New York City. In 2017, Mr. Stone launched NYFA’s new campus in Mumbai, India, and he has taught with the academy in Florence, Italy, for ten years. He has been a guest instructor at Dongguk University in Seoul, Korea, Universität Heidelberg in Germany, and at NABA University in Milan, Italy, as par of the Matter of Identity Conference. Former students have appeared on Broadway (The Lion King, Motown the Musical), Off-Broadway, Film (Life of Pi, King Cobra, Unbroken, Men in Black III, Jamesy Boy, At Middletown, Somewhere in the Middle) and Television (Modern Family, The People V. O.J. Simpson: A Crime Story, Law and Order SVU, The Blacklist, The Apprentice, Power Rangers Megaforce).

As a playwright, he co-wrote the critically acclaimed play Unnatural Acts, which premiered at the Classic Stage Company in New York City in 2011 and received a 2012 Drama Desk Award Nomination for Outstanding Play, a G.L.A.A.D. Media Award Nomination, and an Off-Broadway Alliance Award Nomination.

Peter has been a casting assistant at Mackey Sandrich Casting in New York, where he assisted in casting for The Green Zone and The Adjustment Bureau with Matt Damon, The Proposal with Ryan Reynolds and Sandra Bullock, and The Good Guy with Bryan Greenberg.

Peter is a graduate of the MFA Acting Program at the American Conservatory Theater in San Francisco and a founding member of Plastic Theatre Company NYC.
